Online register for preclinical animal studies launched
PreclinicalTrials is an online register of protocols for preclinical animal studies conducted around the world. Registration of animal studies is essential in the optimization of preclinical research. With this register a reduction in the risks of reporting biases in animal studies is aimed. It will constitute a tool to avoid unnecessary duplication, improve the quality and increase transparency and sharing of knowledge in preclinical animal trials. The register is open to all, and free to use.
The initiative is supported by the TACTICS consortium and the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Regenerative and Reparative Medicine.
