“Our goal is to develop new regenerative treatments
that will lessen the burden of disease.”
Regenerative Medicine in Utrecht (RMU) aims to address unmet medical need by combining our body’s own repair abilities together with innovative engineering and translational research.
We focus on 3 themes: cardiovascular tissue regeneration (including the heart, blood vessels, kidney), musculoskeletetal tissue regeneration (cartilage and bone) and stem cell & organoid biology (including stem cell-based therapies). Interwoven among these themes are enabling technologies and fundamental science, and we have the capacity in Utrecht to bring an idea from concept to standard patient care.
